Goerg & Schneider 258 is a versatile stoneware clay.
258 is a white stoneware clay with 25% black chamotte (0-0,5mm grain size), which provides a nice contrast between the white clay and the black chamotte grains. This clay can be fired at temperatures between 1000°C and 1240°C. 258 is a reliable clay that can be used for many sculpting, ringing and rolling, among other things.

Characteristics:
• Color: White with black chamotte, gives a spotted effect.
• Chamotte content: 25% (0–0,5 mm), makes it stable but a little rough.
• Burning temperature: 1000-1240°C.
• Use: Suitable for hand building, sculptures and rolling. Can be used for turning but is somewhat coarse.
• Surface: The sponge can be used to highlight the chamotte and create a rustic feel.
